EQANIE elects new Executive Board for the 2012-2015 term and appoints new Secretary General
The European Quality Assurance Network of Informatics Education (EQANIE) has announced that it has a new executive board taking office for the period from 2012 to 2015.
“The General Assembly elected seven high-ranking international experts for the next term of office at its last meeting in Milan in November“, EQANIE said. Both the President, Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Heiss (Association of Informatics Departments and Research labs in Europe and neighbouring countries, Informatics Europe) and the Vice-President, Dr. Iring Wasser (German Accreditation Agency for Degree Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics, ASIIN e.V.) were re-elected.
The other Board members are Prof. Hans-Ulrich Bühler (German Association of Faculties of Informatics at Universities of Applied. Sciences, FBTI/GAFIUS), Prof. Christine Choppy (French Society for Education and Research in Computer Science, SPECIF), Prof. Roland Ibbett (British Computer Society, BCS), Prof. Enrico Nardelli (Gruppo di Informatica – the Italian Association of University Professors of Computer Science, GRIN) and Prof. Eduardo Vendrell Vidal (Spanish National Conference of Deans and Directors for Universities’ Schools of Informatics, CODDII).
At its meeting in November, the previous Executive Board also appointed Janna Wessels as the new Secretary General.
